This semester is going by really quickly! It seems like we just started school... And now we only have 18 weeks til our due date! Thanksgiving is a week from today and we get time off school for that. Plus in another 3 weeks we get 2 more weeks off. Shawn was just saying last night that he was really glad he wasn't working at FedEx right now. If he was it would be long hours and lots of freight to deliver this time of year. Plus no 3 weeks of vacation in one month! We are really blessed to be able to have the schedule that the school keeps.
Well, Shawn is going to be having surgery on his knee. He has a hole in it from a piece of loose bone that has been moving around in there... December 12th is the big day!
We are trying to get things put away and presentable for my Aunt Susie to come this weekend along with some of my cousins. It should be fun:) Our house is still a disaster area since we are still moving things in and around, and since we still have a lot of stuff left from Shawn's parents. But we are getting there! Our living room, bedroom, and kitchen look pretty good, but Bryce's room and the extra bedroom and bathroom need some help.
Ok, back to school stuff now :)

Another BOY!!
Shawn and I had been planning on going to Killeen and staying all day yesterday since I had a doctor's appointment in the morning and he had one in the afternoon. Well we got to mine (at 9:15am) and we did the normal checkup and everything looked fine. Then Dr. Lobaugh asked me if I wanted to come back the next day to have my ultrasound. I said yes, and we went to find out if there was an opening.
Well it turns out that they had one yesterday at 5:10! So we decided a couple extra hours in Killeen wouldn't be a big deal, so we decided to come back. Shawn's appointment was at 3:00 to find out about results of the MRI they did on his knee. Dr. Allred said that he has (or most likely has) osteochondritis diseccans (sp?) but they are going to do a CT scan to make sure. He may have to have surgery and if so he'll be off his knee for 3 months. Anyway, we thought he was going to miss the ultrasound completely cause the doctor was way behind, but he got there in time since my ultrasound was late too!
Shawn told her he already knew it was a boy and the first thing the ultrasound tech said was "Well, he's right, it's a boy!) This one was not shy at all. Bryce at least tried to be modest, crossing his legs at first :) So that was good, then she measured the baby's growth and he was right on target for our due date of March 23, 2007. (Technically 2 days ahead!)
So, it looks like I am really going to be outnumbered now! I'm glad to have another boy, hopefully they will be close brothers as they grow up... I'll try to get some pictures put up here.
Today is Halloween and Bryce is dressed like a pumpkin! He is really cute! I brought him to school with me today and all my classes are loving having him around.

Found a new doctor, yay!!
Well I had my ultrasound and found out my due date is March 23, 2007. And then I promptly switched doctors. I had gone to Dr. Kemper in Killeen and didn't have a very good experience there. For one thing their AC was out, so it was really hot. But then the first thing you see is a big sign that says no kids are allowed in the office! Well I had Bryce with me. So then I go in and she says "Next time you can't bring him." Thanks so much for that revelation! Anyway, then I find out I won't even be seeing the doctor. I'll be seeing the nurse practitioner. That would have been fine, except she was very abrupt, almost rude. She went through her little speech like I was the 100th person she'd seen that day, and talked about how there was a chance of a miscarriage before 12 weeks. She just acted like, "ok now my job is done. Go get some bloodwork, see ya later."
Well I was a little too spoiled by my last doctor to deal with that for the next 7 months, so I switched to Dr. Lobaugh. I am so glad I did! I went yesterday for the first time and he was super nice, answered all my questions, and acted like he actually cared what happened. He said even though it hasn't been that long since my C-section, there would be a possibility for VBAC if I decided I wanted to pursue it. Not sure if I do or not, though... I go back October 26 for the next checkup.

March 23, 2007
That is our due date! I went to the Metroplex and had an ultrasound. The lady that did it was really nice but she wasn't allowed to give me a due date, but I was watching the screen and I knew from last time that it puts the weeks and days up there at certain points, so I just calculated from that. So I was 13 weeks on Friday, September 15th. I'll get the ultrasound pic on here asap.

Wow, a year later!

Bryce just turned one year old a couple of weeks ago! We had a party at his auntie JoJo's house on Labor Day. He had blackberry cobbler all over his face and he was happy about it :)
And now, we have also found out we are expecting #2! We found out right before we had to go back to school for inservice, which was August 7th I think. I am going today to Killeen to get an ultrasound and find out a due date...

Wow! I am in shock, I just saw this picture of the church I went to in High School in Orange, Texas. This is after Hurricane Rita hit full force there. I got this from www.kogt.com.

More Pics
Well it's been a good morning... Bryce woke up happy and has stayed that way :) I decided we needed to take some pictures and I did go a little crazy but here are a few anyway.

In the Swing of Things...
Bryce will be 6 weeks on Wednesday already! He has been a great baby, only cries (screams!) when he is hungry and other than that he is pretty content :) Just a couple days ago he found his thumb... I am torn as to whether to discourage that or not cause it sure would be convenient not to have to pick up his pacifier every 2 seconds when he loses it just to put it back in his mouth. But then again you can't take away a thumb later like you can a pacifier!
Shawn's school semester is in full swing, he is taking 17 hours and it keeps him really busy! I am taking 2 online classes: Honey Bee Biology and Ecology for Teachers. They have been pretty easy so far. Last Friday we had an assignment due in HBB and apparently a lot of people were having issues accessing the pdf file, so the teacher sent us a word file to fill out... Turns out she sent us all the answers in the word file. Needless to say everyone got a 100 on that assignment!
Today I went walking with a friend from church for about an hour, maybe more. It was really fun to get out and to talk to someone who had a baby about 4 months before us. We decided we are going to go riding bikes and walking almost every day :) I am excited.
I also got a job offer to work at a hotel. I am just a little nervous about leaving Bryce for too long. It actually wouldn't be a big deal but I actually do a lot around here during the day so I feel like things may have to go undone. We'll see how it goes. I am supposed to call them tomorrow...

He's Here!!!
Well...
We went in to induce labor on Wednesday August 24, 2005. I was 10 days overdue at that point. We arrived at 5:30 in the Emergency Room and got to go up to Labor and Delivery. At about 8, after antibiotics and prep stuff, I finally got started on the pitocin to start labor... About 8:15 the doctor came in and decided to break my water to accelerate things. Well right after he did that, Bryce's heartrate dropped from around 130 to the 50s and 60s and they couldn't get it to come back up... So we were off in about 3 minutes to have an emergency C-section!! It was scary there for a few minutes, but before long I was completely under and they were pulling him out!
He was born August 24 at 8:39 a.m. weighing in at 8 lbs 10 oz. He was 21 inches long. He and I are doing great :) He was a week yesterday and he is generally either eating or sleeping. Right now he is sitting in his bouncer chair wide awake but yawning :) Here are a few pics to enjoy...
This is one of me seeing him for the first time when I woke up:
