Another BOY!!

Shawn and I had been planning on going to Killeen and staying all day yesterday since I had a doctor's appointment in the morning and he had one in the afternoon. Well we got to mine (at 9:15am) and we did the normal checkup and everything looked fine. Then Dr. Lobaugh asked me if I wanted to come back the next day to have my ultrasound. I said yes, and we went to find out if there was an opening.

Well it turns out that they had one yesterday at 5:10! So we decided a couple extra hours in Killeen wouldn't be a big deal, so we decided to come back. Shawn's appointment was at 3:00 to find out about results of the MRI they did on his knee. Dr. Allred said that he has (or most likely has) osteochondritis diseccans (sp?) but they are going to do a CT scan to make sure. He may have to have surgery and if so he'll be off his knee for 3 months. Anyway, we thought he was going to miss the ultrasound completely cause the doctor was way behind, but he got there in time since my ultrasound was late too!

Shawn told her he already knew it was a boy and the first thing the ultrasound tech said was "Well, he's right, it's a boy!) This one was not shy at all. Bryce at least tried to be modest, crossing his legs at first :) So that was good, then she measured the baby's growth and he was right on target for our due date of March 23, 2007. (Technically 2 days ahead!)

So, it looks like I am really going to be outnumbered now! I'm glad to have another boy, hopefully they will be close brothers as they grow up... I'll try to get some pictures put up here.

Today is Halloween and Bryce is dressed like a pumpkin! He is really cute! I brought him to school with me today and all my classes are loving having him around.

Found a new doctor, yay!!

Well I had my ultrasound and found out my due date is March 23, 2007. And then I promptly switched doctors. I had gone to Dr. Kemper in Killeen and didn't have a very good experience there. For one thing their AC was out, so it was really hot. But then the first thing you see is a big sign that says no kids are allowed in the office! Well I had Bryce with me. So then I go in and she says "Next time you can't bring him." Thanks so much for that revelation! Anyway, then I find out I won't even be seeing the doctor. I'll be seeing the nurse practitioner. That would have been fine, except she was very abrupt, almost rude. She went through her little speech like I was the 100th person she'd seen that day, and talked about how there was a chance of a miscarriage before 12 weeks. She just acted like, "ok now my job is done. Go get some bloodwork, see ya later."

Well I was a little too spoiled by my last doctor to deal with that for the next 7 months, so I switched to Dr. Lobaugh. I am so glad I did! I went yesterday for the first time and he was super nice, answered all my questions, and acted like he actually cared what happened. He said even though it hasn't been that long since my C-section, there would be a possibility for VBAC if I decided I wanted to pursue it. Not sure if I do or not, though... I go back October 26 for the next checkup.
