Update on kids

Well, I had to cancel my Glamour Photo Shoot... Oh well, just didn't have enough interest and I didn't want to buy a bunch of stuff just for a couple of people. I would have lost money on that deal.

But I have senior pictures lined up for next Thursday, and a photo session on Saturday in San Saba. Then I have some Sweet 16 pics to do on the 26th. So I think we'll be having a lot of fun by May!

Henry is almost walking on his own now. He took about 7 or steps yesterday, before he tripped. He only had one shoe on so that edge of the shoe made him lose his balance. He is so cute! And he is really happy, just like Bryce.

Bryce is even more independent now and he has a mind of his own! He'll tell me to "Say mark set go, mom." And if I say it wrong he will let me know it. He'll say "Don't say that, ma!" When I do say it, he pushes his firetruck as fast as he can through the house like he is racing. And he also tells me to "go faster, ma!" when I'm driving, or he'll ask me "Are you racing?" He gets that from watching Cars!

Brytini is reading Charlotte's Web right now, along with some other books. She is the bookworm right now, and Bryce is definitely imitating her... She is hyper as always, but she is doing pretty well in school. We just have to make sure that we remind her to get her homework out and actually do it :)

Ashilee doesn't have any extracurricular activities going on right now since basketball ended a while back. So things are pretty relaxed. She is looking forward to the summer, as we all are!

Here is a picture of the kids a couple weeks ago at the park:

Thank you Mom!

Well my mom is leaving today after being at our house a whole week! She kept all four kids by herself while Shawn and I went to San Antonio for four days. And not only that but she bought us all kinds of groceries and even left fully cooked meals in the freezer!! Thank you, Mom!

The San Antonio Stock Show was fun, although we spent more time doing things other than the stock show. We went ice skating, we saw a movie, we visited the Alamo, and we braved a mirror maze. We had a lot of fun :)

I definitely missed everyone, though. When I got home Henry motioned for me to come get him and then when I put him down he screamed. Poor baby. I had just stopped by the house to drop off formula on the way back to school. I had to go put in a few more hours before I could come home. Today is school as normal, darn it. The picture is of all 6 of the kids who showed from Star.

It's Been A While, Again...

Well Christmas and New Year's came and went. On to another semester at school. I got a great Christmas present this year, a digital SLR camera. It has been a lot of fun, I am still learning but already have taken lots of great pictures. The camera really does make it a lot easier to get some good shots. Here are some I like a lot:

I decided last Wednesday (before I got strep throat) to dive back into the world of html... I haven't gotten too far yet, but it is interesting to design a webpage from scratch. I'll have to share when I get something cool made. I never really like the templates I find, so maybe I can do better.

I really want to open a photography business and quit my "real job." I hope someday that happens :) My mom offered to buy me a backdrop and some lighting for my birthday to take a family portrait. Sounds like fun! I am hoping this summer maybe to put up a website to promote myself. Shawn might even join me. He is an experienced studio photographer and is interested in creative photos of outdoors stuff: leaves, animals, etc. I am more into pictures of people just being themselves. So, we'll see what happens! We have already decided on a name and I have been playing around with logos, mainly just cause I get bored and have nothing better to do. (Ok, I have tons to do, but I'd rather play with logos.)

Good news yesterday! My sister took her NCLEX-RN test to be a registered nurse and she passed! I knew she would, even though she was skeptical! She is really smart and a very hard worker!! I knew she would do well. Seriously, I am lazy compared to her. That is one reason I am hoping she will come help me pick out colors and paint some rooms in my house sometime soon. Come to think of it, I might need to invite several friends/workers ;) I have a lot of walls to cover in a weekend.

Shawn decided I could do what I wanted with the house, but he didn't want to be there for it. I decided that sounded good, so sometime soon he will go away for a weekend and come back to a newly painted house.

Ok, back to my class now...

Pics from David's Wedding

Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding! One cute one of the kids, and one with Brandy and Leigha :) and of course, one of all 6 of us as we scrambled out to get to the wedding on time...

I finally talked to Pam after a while, and her Pinning Ceremony is December 13, a Thursday. She is graduating from nursing school and she will be an RN. I don't know if I'll be able to make it, but I would absolutely love to, cause I know it's been a long road to get to this point, and she did it!! I am really proud of her, she never quit and she has done so well with grades and everything. Now she just needs to move closer to me. Then it would be perfect :)

Anyway, we have a fall festival this weekend, the 27th, at school. And guess who was voluntold to put on a cakewalk? You guessed it, me. There are supposed to be around 100 cakes, and I'll probably be making quite a few of those. My classes are going to take over the home ec room and bake all day Friday. That part should be pretty fun, anyway... We have a concession stand to do this Friday, too! It is going to be another busy weekend!

Henry's Newborn Moments

Well I finally got to a computer with some pictures on it! Here they are, 3 months later almost: Pictures of the newborn Henry Cadence Lockett!! Notice he is wearing the same Aggie outfit Bryce was brought home in (he's 3 days old in that picture)...

Before and after Henry

These are a couple of pictures that I never got to put on here! The first is (obviously) a picture before I had Henry. The second was taken on Cinco de Mayo (5-5-07).

More cute pictures

The first pic is of course Bryce eating. It was ravioli, and I think he liked it!

This other picture was taken at one of Shawn's flag football games, October 11, 2006. It was pretty cold, and his grandpa is cold-natured anyway, so they were all bundled up! I just realized I don't have any pictures of Bryce since his last haircut. We cut it with the longest clippers we had, but it is still pretty short compared to these pictures!

Shawn, Bryce, and the Deer

Here is a picture of the 10-point deer Shawn got right near our house... Bryce is not too into this whole hunting thing... yet.

Shawn had knee surgery last Friday (the 1st), and he hasn't been up and around too much since then. We did go to the mall one day and that may have been a big mistake. Now his calf hurts whenever he doesn't have it propped up. He's been stretching it out a lot more the past day or two to get it back into shape so he can walk sometime. Bryce is running around and talking a lot more now. The other day he gave me a cracker and said "Here you go." It sounded more like "Heago" but that's progress :)
